Pole-a-Palooza!

A Meeting for Pole Artists

Pole-a-palooza is a creative space for pole artists from all over the world to meet, share, connect, learn, and reflect! Whether your specialty is Chinese pole, aerial pole, or dance pole, bring your excitement and the skills you want to practice. We’ll provide the space and the community. The fun builds from there in an open training format, with plenty of time to enjoy what Vermont. has to offer including hiking and swimming

The cost to you covers hours of open practice each day, a Works in Progress showing, and plenty of time to connect and meet with other pole artists. This is a participant-driven event for movers with an established practice on pole. We will provide 4 chinese poles, 2 aerial poles and 2 dance pole stages. Participants are welcome to bring their own equipment to add to the mix, but please do reach out to us in advance.

Workshops will be available for an additional fee. Meeting participants will get a discount on these workshops! Check back June 1 to register for the workshops.

Who is Pole-a-Paloooza for?
For advanced- and professional-level pole artists ages 18 and up with a regular pole practice. Participation is what drives this event, so we ask everyone to be physically involved. To support a creatively safe environment, there will be no auditing or public viewing.

Equipment note:
We will have both ‘dead’ rigged and guyed out Chinese poles with rubber covers, two different types of aerial poles, and stage X poles. Due to our high ceilings we will not have tension dance poles.

Ages:
18 & up. Younger participants are welcome to join with a participating adult mentor/coach—please email esmith@necenterforcircusarts.org for more information.
