Schedule: Sat & Sun 9:00 am - 12:00 am & 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Discover the dynamic freedom and dancelike connection that aerial sling can offer in ways that no other aerial apparatus can. This unique discipline offers opportunities to geek out and explore concepts that are just not possible on any other equipment. Bring your open mind and creative spirit and we'll give you enough material to play with on your own for weeks to come.

Examples of things that will be explored: fundamental technique, hammock-specific skills and progression (including: wraps, beats, poses, rolls, drops, climbs, shapes, dives) sequences and transitions, mounts, aerial dance style floor work, puzzles and games, choreography theory and other obscure items of aerial interest.

Pre-requisites: This workshop is for high beginner or intermediate aerial students with an existing practice on the aerial sling or experience with fabric. Students should be comfortable in a front balance, inverting frequently to mount the sling, and be able to invert between the 'poles' in the air.

About the Instructor: Jenn has been immersed in aerial arts since 2008. She is driven by her focus on fabric (silks) and sling (hammock) and her first love trapeze [of all sorts]. She also enjoys exploring corde lisse, cloud swing, lyra, net, rope & harness and anything else someone puts in front of her. She has coached, choreographed and performed around the world including over 30 US states, China, Italy, Germany, Austria, Canada and Mexico. As an aerial coach, she seeks to provide the highest quality progressive instruction to aerialists of all abilities from novice to professional performer. Her mission as a human is to cultivate a warm, non-judgmental learning environment that fosters community, to build physical and emotional strength within the individuals who participate in this environment and methodically construct a vehicle by which to create art.
