German Wheel Workshop for Bigs & Littles

When: Jan 25, 2019
Cost: $50 ($25 per person, one big & one little)
Instructors: Chris Delgado
Schedule: 6 - 7:45 pm
Age: 6 yrs and up

Big wheels for little people are a lot of fun, and adults get to share in this cool experience too. Kids, bring your adult to class and work together as you hang and climb your way into the rolling jungle gym of a German wheel. We'll start off with wheel walks where students will learn to move the wheel using their own bodies as momentum. If you are feeling brave, we'll add straps and go all the way upside down, and try partnering with other kids for the fan-favorite, the Teeter-Totter. With your adult supporting you, try standing on top of the wheel ("Look ma, no hands!"). Last but not least, fly through the air while leaping through the wheel with the infamous "Happy Ninja Roll". This is a great bonding opportunity for bigs and littles, and makes a memorable holiday gift.

About the instructor:
Chris Delgado graduated from Case Western Reserve University, studied at Dell Arte International School of Physical Theatre, went to work for CircEsteem, a nonprofit youth circus in Chicago, and that’s where he met the German wheel. He was immediately drawn to her curves and the swing in her step; he just could not resist! He trained in Chicago with Wolfgang Bientzle (8 time world champion) for 4 years, and never looked back. Inside a German wheel, he has taught and performed across the US and internationally, everywhere from Kent, Ohio to Abu Dhabi.
