Take part in our Spring Fund Drive - A Balancing Act, because in circus, as in life, balance is key!

Maintaining that broader balance is a part of NECCA’s challenge as a nonprofit. We make balancing on our hands, finding poise on the tight wire, and stacking friends on our shoulders a part of our everyday, but the real balance is in the work that we do. We foster confidence and physical literacy while guiding people through their own fears. We transform lives by showing people they are capable of much more than they ever thought possible, all while investing in the quality of our programs and supporting the talented coaches and staff that make it all possible. Balance is in everything that we do.

Walk through the glass doors of our trapezium, and you’ll find an aspiring artist balancing the rigors of an intense conditioning regimen with the anxiety of diving headfirst into her dreams. You’ll find a teenager discovering that they can express their truest self-image and be celebrated for it. You’ll find an asylum seeker building skills and confidence while also becoming accustomed to a whole new culture far from home.

To keep our students steady, we are expanding performance opportunities, providing additional programming aimed at diversity and inclusivity, maintaining and upgrading the circus equipment that keeps people safe as they fly high, and continuing to fit up our beautiful training space to take full advantage of the Trapezium’s intended use—all while supporting our staff, students and community in the process.

You can help by participating in our Spring Fund Drive during the month of May. Send a donation by mail, online, or in person, and support the programming that has become a vital part of the community and a steadying influence in so many lives.

Drop your donation off in person and you can take part in the “Circus Is” interactive magnetic poetry display in the Trapezium lobby. Come tell us what circus is for you! Then, post it on social media and include the hashtag #circusis. Follow #circusis to be inspired by what circus is doing in the lives of everyone in the community!

In addition, for your in-person donation of $100 or more you will receive a tightrope walker, handmade by resident artist and NECCA coach, Zeb Galipeau, to remind you of the balancing acts your donation is helping to support.

Thank you for all the ways you help keep NECCA balanced and for ensuring that we can continue to support our community for many exciting years to come.
