Jamie Hodgson
discovered circus arts while playing Rugby for the University of Georgia and considered it a logical next step. She began training on dance trapeze at Canopy Studios in Athens, Georgia before moving to New England in 2004 to train at NECCA. Jamie has taught circus arts for Circus Smirkus, TSNY Beantown, Starfish Circus and NECCA and gymnastics at AllStars Gym in Windsor, CT. After devoting most of her college career to education, she is particularly interested in the ways that circus arts can encourage kinesthetic and cognitive development in children and self-esteem and confidence in teens. When she's not teaching, Jamie travels and performs worldwide with the Aerial Angels and locally with Girls on Trapeze. www.jamiehodgson.com

"Most important to me, I don't feel anyone has made any special concessions to my age; that makes me forget that I'm 2 or 3 times the age of my teachers and fellow students. That's exactly the way I want it."
Glenn M., San Francisco, CA, age 66
