What to wear

All jewelry and watches must be removed before class, so we recommend leaving them at home!

For general circus classes and aerial skills, we recommend form-fitting leggings or flexible training pants that cover the back of your knees. Shirts should be long enough to tuck in. We recommend a leotard or unitard for the additional protection they provide. Bring a form fitting long sleeve shirt to protect your under arms when necessary. Acrobatic shoes for floor work are also recommended. All hair that is long enough to swing in front of the face must be secured. Men should consider supportive clothing.

For German Wheel, ideal footwear is a lace up shoe with a thin, flexible sole (not a running shoe). An inexpensive option is a Feiyue Martial Arts Shoe for $15 available at The Martial Arts Store.

For Chinese Pole, ideal footwear is has a soft, flexible sole (not a running shoe). It does not have to be a lace up shoe. An inexpensive option is a Feiyue Martial Arts Shoe for $15 available at The Martial Arts Store. Or select slip on mesh water shoes such as those sold by Nike.

For flying trapeze, socks are preferred to bare feet.

"I really admire the spirit and acrobatic abilities of all [NECCA's] teachers. Since studying with them, I feel stronger and more confident in myself."
